Korolon™ 800 developed by MiTi® has elasticity and very low friction up to 800°F.
MiTi® have developed proprietary adhesion technologies to provide dramatically improved
abrasion resistance to metals and also high temperature capability. Process parameters are
controlled to optimize the properties critical for high temperature applications. The
crystallographic type and size are also varied for specific physical specifications.

TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Extensive friction and wear testing has shown that Korolon™ 800 has excellent wear
and friction performance under high temperature conditions. High temperature, high
speed testing was conducted on a sophisticated tribometer using a coated Inconel
X750 pad on an Electrolyzed 718 disc set-up (contact pressure was 21KPa). The
Korolon™ 800 gives a slightly higher service temperature than the Korolon™ 700
but both show excellent friction performance as well as protecting the underlying
substrate surface from wear.
